Commercial HVAC, Electrical and Fire Alarm in Sunrise, FL
Our shop is at 751 Shotgun Rd in Sunrise. When a rooftop unit quits at a Sunrise office building on a July afternoon, we are not driving up from Miami or down from Palm Beach. We are usually a few exits away. That matters more than most people think, because a commercial cooling call that takes four hours to reach is a different problem from one that takes forty minutes.
We do commercial HVAC, chillers and cooling towers, electrical, generators and transfer switches, and fire alarm systems. One company, one phone number, and licenses that cover the work: Florida HVAC license CAC1825204 and electrical license EC13006438, which also covers fire alarm.
The buildings we see in Sunrise
Sunrise is not one kind of city. The west side around the Sawgrass Mills area is retail on a huge scale, with big box stores, restaurants and the strip centers that ring the mall. Those buildings run packaged rooftop units hard for ten or eleven months a year, and the tenants change often enough that HVAC and electrical get reworked every time a space turns over.
North of the mall, the Sawgrass International Corporate Park and the office buildings along the Sawgrass Expressway hold a lot of Class A office space. Those are the chiller plants, VAV boxes and building automation systems that need someone who understands the whole loop, not just the condenser on the roof.
Then there is the event and hospitality side. The arena district near the Sawgrass Expressway brings hotels, restaurants and big parking structures with lighting, life safety and emergency power needs. Along Sunrise Blvd, Oakland Park Blvd and Commercial Blvd you get older strip centers, medical offices and light industrial bays, many of them built decades ago with electrical service that was never sized for what tenants plug in today.
What we do here
Commercial HVAC repair, rooftop unit replacement and preventive maintenance
Chiller and cooling tower service for office buildings and larger retail
Electrical service upgrades, panel replacements, tenant improvement wiring and lighting
Generator installation, transfer switches, and load bank testing
Fire alarm installation, inspection and testing to NFPA 72
If you are a general contractor building out a space near the mall or in one of the corporate parks, we can carry the mechanical, electrical and fire alarm scopes together. That cuts down on the finger pointing that happens when three trades share one ceiling.
Code and climate in Sunrise
Sunrise is in Broward County, and Broward sits inside the High Velocity Hurricane Zone defined in the Florida Building Code. In practice that means rooftop equipment has to be anchored for very high design wind loads, and replacement units need tie downs and curbs that meet the current requirements, not whatever was installed in 1995. We see plenty of old units sitting on rusted rails that would not pass today. When we replace a unit, the anchoring gets done right and permitted.
Hurricane season runs June 1 through November 30. The western Broward suburbs lose power in big storms like everyone else, and a generator that has not been exercised under load all summer is a gamble. We would rather find a weak battery or a sticky transfer switch in May than in the middle of a storm.
Fire alarm systems in Sunrise commercial buildings fall under the Florida Fire Prevention Code, which brings in NFPA 72 for inspection, testing and maintenance. Most devices are tested every year, and the fire marshal expects to see the report.
Why a Sunrise contractor makes sense
Honestly, distance is the biggest reason. We are on Shotgun Rd, close to Interstate 75 and the Sawgrass Expressway, so Sunrise, Weston, Plantation and Davie are our backyard. We have been doing this work since 1999. We would rather earn your next call by showing up and fixing it than by sending a long proposal.
We also handle the paperwork side. Permits, inspections, NFPA 72 test reports, generator test logs. Property managers tell us that part matters as much as the repair.
Sunrise FAQ
Do you only work on commercial buildings?
Yes, our focus is commercial: offices, retail, hotels, medical, warehouses, assisted living and general contractor work. We are set up for rooftop units, chillers, three phase power and full fire alarm systems.
Can you handle HVAC, electrical and fire alarm on the same job?
Yes. That is the reason the company is built the way it is. A rooftop unit change often needs a new disconnect and a duct smoke detector tied into the fire alarm. We do all three.
What are your hours?
Our office is open Monday through Friday, 8 to 4. Call and we will tell you what we can do for your schedule.
Do you work outside Sunrise?
Yes. We cover Broward, Miami Dade and Palm Beach counties, with most of our work in Broward.
